Welcome to this walkthrough guide for Rockstar's second Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content pack - The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Follow the links below to finish the game with 100% completion status, or just find help with a specific part you're having trouble with.

I LUV LC

After the initial cutscenes get in Tony's car and drive him to his club as marked on the map, then on to his second club. Once inside the club you have the option to take part in a few of the side missions, which you need to do for the 100% completion rating. You will need to learn the dancing technique described below for a main mission later on anyway, so it's advisable to try it out sooner rather than later. If you go for them now do the dancing mission first, because you'll be too drunk to walk, let alone dance after the drinking mission.

Dancing

Head to the girl in the middle of the dance floor in both the Maisonette 9 and Hercules clubs and follow the instructions to complete the dancing mission. Once you get the hang of the various moves and complete the highly coordinated group dance at the end of the sequence you complete 'The Bus Stop' mission.

Drinking

Head up the stairs to the right of the bar in Maisonette 9 and approach the guy staggering between the two tables. Follow the instructions to complete the drinking game, then watch Luis fall down the stairs as you try to head out in your drunken state!

Shortly after entering the club you'll get a call from Tony about some trouble outside the club. Once you head outside another cutscene will start to introduce your friends and a little more background story. Drive your friends home then drive yourself back to your apartment to finish the mission.

Park the car within the parking bay markings if you want the car to be available for you again later.

By the bed in your apartment is your wardrobe, change into your doorman's suit here to save time later.

Head back outside and get in a car, then read the text message you get from Tony to open up the next mission.

CHINESE TAKEOUT

If it's daylight hours in-game head over to Tony's apartment, otherwise head to the club on the map to start this mission. After the cutscene get in Tony's car and drive him to the restaurant marked on the map. After the cutscene you will be behind cover of a wall with mobs shooting at you. Follow the instructions to work your way around the hallways taking out the numerous mobs to escape the building. Make sure you take cover as much as possible behind any available object to avoid taking damage and be sure to pick up the ammo the enemies drop when they die. Also be sure to pick up the body armor in the side room near the beginning and another one at the bottom of one of the flights of stairs near the end.

Once you get to the exit get in the car and drive Tony back to his apartment to finish the mission.

MOMMA'S BOY

Head to the "Mom's House" icon on the map. After the cutscene follow Santos down the street to the cage fighting arena. Follow the instructions and win the first two fights but in the third fight allow your health to get below 50% and take a dive by pressing the button when instructed. If you get this right you call your mom who then completely misunderstands what you've done for her and complains that you lost - oh well...

CAGE FIGHTING

Completing the Momma's Boy mission opens up the cage fighting side mission. Come back here at any time and pay the $100 fee to compete in the fight. If you win 6 rounds of fights you complete the mission.

When someone with a bat comes at you be ready to dodge ('A' button) when you see his arm pull back to swing, then immediately punch ('B' button) and you will steal the bat from him. The rest of the round you will keep the bat, making the rest of the round easier.

In the last few rounds you will have fighters coming at you with a knife, dodge and steal the knife in the same way as the bat to make the rest of the round easier.

CORNER KIDS

Head back over the street to Mom's House to start this mission. Get in the car and take your friends over to the docks as marked on the map. Take cover wherever possible and take out the cops in your way. Once the hole in the wall appears take out the cops on the roof and around the area and head towards the car marked on the map.

Use the rocket launcher you get from the police van to shoot down the chopper then finally drive your buddies back home to finish the mission.

DRUG WARS

Finishing the Corner Kids mission opens up these side missions. Completing 25 Drug War missions gives you 2.5% towards your 100% complete status.

The following types of weapon also become available at your safehouse at the intervals shown:

10 Drug War Missions - .44 handgun
20 Drug War Missions - Advanced MG
30 Drug War Missions - Explosive shotgun
40 Drug War Missions - Sticky bombs
50 Drug War Missions - Gold SMG

There are a few different types of Drug War missions, each described below.

Type 1 & 2: The Stick Up / The Stash

Drive to the drug deal, kill everyone, pick up the bag, drive back to the drop off point quickly avoiding the chasing cars as much as possible.

Type 3: The Convoy

Drive to pick up the vehicle, shoot the enemies, take the vehicle back to the spot marked on the map.

Type 4: The Highjack #1

Drive to the vehicle, take out any mobs guarding it, then get in the vehicle. If you get a wanted level set a way marker on the highway where you can easily outrun the cops. Once it's safe drop the car off at the drop off point.

Type 5: The Highjack #2

The vehicle is a moving target, so you need to driveby shoot it until it stops, then take it back to the drop off point.

You can do Drug Wars missions at any time, but they can get quite tedious if you do them one after another, so doing one after each main mission may help to break up the monotony.

CLOCKING OFF

Head to Momma's House to start this mission. Drive to the point on the map then walk down to the boat, but have a good automatic weapon ready. When the rival gang turn up crouch down and work your way back up to the car taking out gang members as you go. Work your way clockwise around the markers on the map taking out the gang members until all are dead.

Once clear take the car back to the lock up to finish the mission.

PRACTICE SWING

Drive Tony to the golf club then follow the instructions to hit the union official tied to the front of the golf buggy. Once you've done this three times mobs will turn up, run downstairs and take out all targets, then get in the golf buggy and follow Rocco. After a while the cars chasing you will crash, keep following Rocco until he parks up then park next to him.

Finally drive Tony back to his apartment to end the mission.

GOLFING

Completing the Practice Swing mission opens up the golfing side mission. Come back here at any time to compete against another golfer for the highest score over 10 holes. The closer your ball lands to the hole the higher your score. You need to beat your competitor to count towards your 100% status.

RANDOM CHARACTER: ARNAUD #1

A little way north of Tony's apartment on the map you will see a white 'male' icon. Head to this location and walk up to the guy standing outside the restaurant. This is a ridiculously easy mission, just drive him the short distance to the massage parlor and drop him off.

RANDOM CHARACTER: DAISY

If the clubs are open (9pm-6am) head to the white 'female' icon on the map to the north-west. Head inside Maisonette 9 and walk up to the woman at the bar to start this wonderfully silly mission.

Drive Miss Daisy to the various locations marked.

CLUB MANAGEMENT

Head back to Maisonette 9 and walk into the office just to the left as you enter the club. Follow the instructions to manage the club then eventually you'll be called away on one of six different final errands. You need to complete one of each type to count towards a whopping 10% of your 100% completion rating. The different types of errand are:

Clay PG Jackson

Clay is being hassled by paparazzi outside the back of Hercules. Head over there, try to open the limo door, then try again when Clay unlocks it for you. Once you are in the car lose the paparazzi without hurting any of them before they can get a good picture of him. The quickest and safest way out is to gently nudge into the group straight ahead and drive slowly over one of them. You would think this would count as hurting them, but it does work. Drive out onto the street and turn north onto one of the long straight roads that give you enough time to get up enough speed to lose the paparazzi chasing you.

Once you've lost the paparazzi drop Clay off at his hotel to finish the mission.

Kerry Mcintosh

Take the car parked outside Maisonette 9 and drive to the restaurant marked on the map to pick up Kerry's food order. Make sure you have the car facing south before driving into the marker so you can make a fast getaway. Once you have the food get back in the car and drive as quickly as you can back to Hercules. Kerry's assistants will call you several times on the way back, hassling you to get the food to her quickly, just ignore the phone,you answer it anyway and you need to concentrate on getting back fast as time is very limited. Don't hit any police as you can't go back to Hercules with a wanted level.

Royal Roger

Walk up to the guy marked in the club then go outside and get in the 4-door car parked right outside. Pick up the girls then drop everyone off at the hotel.

Poppy Mitchell

Go over to the VIP area and approach Poppy. Go outside, take a vehicle over to pick up the fire truck then drive the truck back to Maisonette 9. Use the water canon to spray water over the paparazzi, but don't do too mad or you'll get a police wanted level, just use short bursts in the direction of those holding cameras and they will immediately scatter. Once all paparazzi are gone drive Poppy to her hotel.

Cloe Parker

Get Cloe from the ladies room, take her to her car parked nearby and drive her back to her mansion.

Bruce Spade

Drive over to the helicopter, fly it over to pick up Bruce, fly low back down to Maisonette 9, land by the club to drop Bruce off.

BLOG THIS!

Head to the Hercules club and walk up to the doorman. After Tony turns up get in his car and drive him to Gracie's house then the internet cafe, both marked on the map. Use a computer and follow the instructions to leave a comment for the blogger. To get to the 'Leave a Comment' and 'Submit' links you need to scroll down the page a little using the right controller stick. Once you've left the comment log off the computer and leave the cafe.

BANG BANG

Head over to Tony to start this mission. Take the car outside Tony's place over to the construction site. Park a little way away from the site then follow the instructions to place three sticky bombs on the base of the crane. Get clear of the crane then detonate the bombs. Now get back in your car and head over to the next target.

The train will be moving when you get there, so just stay on the road until you get to the other side of the bridge over the river, then turn right and head to the nearby subway station where the train will stop. Walk up the pedestrian bridge into the station and throw a couple of bombs at the train. Get clear of the train then detonate the bomb. Now get back in the car and drive quickly to the airport for the last target.

When you reach the plane get out and quickly throw a bomb at it before it can take off. Now get back in the car and onto the highway so you can get enough speed up to lose the cops.

FROSTING ON THE CAKE

Head over to Tony to start this mission. Drive Evan down to the meeting point, then when the deal is hijacked throw sticky bombs at the bikers and detonate them. This fight gets very busy very quickly, so keep an eye on the minimap to know where the next group of bikers will be coming from.

After you blow up the police road block a tank will come after you, but a few bombs will take care of it. After this a helicopter will come for you, wait until it drops down closer to you before you throw a bomb at it.

Once the chopper is down all you need to do is lose the cops. Stay on the road going west to the highway so you can get enough speed up to lose them.

RANDOM CHARACTER: MARGOT #1

Head to the nearby white 'female' icon right next door to the Hercules club. Walk up to the girl on the steps of the shop to start the mission. Drive Margot to the hospital.

SEXY TIME

Head over to Yusef to start this mission. Drive down to the marina and take a boat out to the yacht. Approach the yacht slowly and pull up at the rear so you can jump aboard. Go up to the top deck and take the chopper.

Fly the chopper towards the marker until Yusef tells you to go back and kill everyone. Turn back and use your rockets on the yacht until it sinks, then go after the fleeing boats and take those down as well. Once all boats are down take the chopper back to the marker and land on the helipad.

RANDOM CHARACTER: MARGOT #2

Head over to the nearby 'female' icon on Pier 45. She's up on the top level of the mall, ready to throw herself off the pier, once she finally does a group of people will come after you, so be ready to run down and towards the road to grab a car and escape.

HIGH DIVE

Drive Yusef to Rotterdam Tower then go inside and take the elevator to the top. Shoot the seagull on the south side wall then go around to meet Ahmed.

Once Ahmed makes a run for it follow the path anti-clockwise taking out the NOOSE officers and helicopters. Using a shotgun helps here as most targets will be at close range given the small area of the tower top. The second NOOSE officer by the stairs will drop body armor if you need it. Shoot the guy at the top of the stairs and go up. Shoot the next guy and helicopter then climb the ladder to the next level. Take the NOOSE officers and helicopter out here then go around the ledge to the next ladder.

Keep climbing the ladders but stop between them to take out helicopters. When you finally reach the top Ahmed will give you a parachute, follow the instructions to use it as you jump off the tower.

Shortly after finishing 'High Dive' you'll get a call from Tony about meeting the Celebinator, drive down to the helipad to meet Tony and get in the helicopter.

Fly the chopper through the circles until Tony takes the controls and instructs you to intimidate the Celebinator. Slap or punch him if you wish, but it's quickest to just push him out as you will and have to do eventually anyway. As quickly as possible after pushing him out push forward on your controller to catch up with him before he hits the ground. As soon as you have hold of him push the 'A' button to release your parachute, then just land anywhere to finish the mission.

BASE JUMPING

Completing 'High Dive' opens up the base-jumping side missions. Scattered across the three islands are 15 base jump icons. You need to complete every one of them. There are 3 different types of jump: checkpoint jumps, moving vehicle jumps and helipad jumps. You need to complete five of each type. Start with the ones around Middle Park as these are all of the easier checkpoint and vehicle type. You'll need to open your parachute at varying times depending on the particular height and shape of the building you are jumping from, but opening it sooner rather than later gives you more opportunity to control your landing better. Push forward to descend faster, backwards to slow down your descent and left and right to change direction. Ideally you should aim to land right in the middle of the checkpoints, but anywhere within the circle counts as a successful landing.

Leave the base jump icon on the western side of Algonquin until last as it is one of the harder helipad jumps. Once you've got the hang of the other two types this type becomes easier. You basically have to jump from the chopper and fall through a few checkpoints then land in the final checkpoint.

Once you've mastered all three types of jump finish off the last ones scattered around the map.

CAUGHT WITH YOUR PANTS DOWN

Head back to Yusef to start then drive to Star Junction and get into Yusef's helicopter. Fly to the marker then use the sniper rifle to zoom in on the four yellow bolts attaching the cables to the tank. Shoot all four bolts to release the tank then parachute down and get in the tank.

Drive the tank around the highway taking out police cars with your cannon until your wanted level gets low enough to be able to lose the cops.

When you're finally cop-free drop the tank off at the marker to end the mission.

BOULEVARD BABY

Head to Maisonette 9 to start this mission. Drive Tony's car down to the rival club and go through the club to the dance floor. Make a note of the route to the dance floor as you'll need to make an escape back the same way very soon. Walk up to Monique on the dance floor and go through the dance routine you may already know from the side mission in Tony's clubs. If not, press 'Y' for instructions.

Once Monique's boyfriend catches you with Monique head-shot him quickly (left-triger to target him, press up so your target is on his head then shoot) before he can shoot you. He drops a superior type of handgun, so you may want to replace your old one with this one by pressing 'A' when you're standing over it. If you forget however it can now be bought from Armando's gun van.

Crouch down and work your way back out through the club, head-shotting the numerous doormen firing at you. Once you get outside grab a car or just run out of the area until the mission completes.

NOT SO FAST

Head over to Hercules to start this mission. Get Yusef's helicopter and land it on the roof of the Libertonian museum. Get out and drop down onto the nearby scaffolding to the view point. Once you have the diamonds climb up the ladder and get back in the chopper.

Flee the area until the three police helicopters arrive, then fire your rockets at them until all three go down. Land your chopper back at the helipad to finish the mission.

LADIES NIGHT

Drop by Tony's place to start this mission. Drive to the helipad then take the chopper over to the marker in Bohan. Once you spot the red car press 'B' to anchor your camera on it as it makes the mission much easier. The car takes several detours along its very long journey and it's very easy to lose track of it without the camera anchor to help you.

After the car finally stops takes the chopper back to the helipad to finish the mission.

RANDOM CHARACTER: ARNAUD #2

Head over to the 'male' icon in Bohan and approach Arnaud as he lies semi-conscious on the pavement. Drive Arnaud to the marker then chase the car until it crashes or you kill the driver. If the driver gets out and runs shoot him. Pick up Arnaud's wallet then drop him off at the marker to finish the mission.

KIBBUTZ NUMBER ONE

Head over to Mori in Broker to start this mission. Drive Mori to the docks and shoot the mobs when they open fire on you. Quickly take out the guy firing rockets from high up in the building then continue working your way around the area taking cover wherever possible to clear out the rest of the mobs.

Once all mobs are dead head over to the next marker then drive the boat up along the right-hand side of the nearest boat ahead. Press the left button to throw a pipe bomb onto the boat then press down on the bottom-left direction controller to detonate the bomb and the boat. Repeat this for the other two boats then take the boat to the marker to finish the mission.

THIS AIN'T CHECKERS

Drive Mori to the marker, then when you're in the helicopter parachute down towards the pier on the far side of Happiness Island. Press forward to fall faster to gain a lead on the other racers, don't release your parachute until you're fairly close to the ground then try to guide your parachute to land directly on one of the boats. The bigger boats are much harder to turn, so try to go for one of the smaller ones if you can.

Race your boat through the markers. Be careful to be on the right-hand side of the first boat or you'll have to turn back on yourself to get to the marker. Once you get to the beach at the end of the boat section hit the beach at full speed and when you get out carry on staright towards the cars or you may be hit by one of the other boats and die.

Guide your car up through the dirt track onto the road and take the next few sharp corners fairly carefully. If you can cut corners early then do so to maintain your lead or close the gap with the leader. Once you get to the long straight stretches of road hit the nitro boosters but be sure to slow down in time for the corners. If you get to the finish line first you complete the mission.

TRIATHLONS

Completing the 'This Ain't Checkers' mission opens up three Triathlon side missions scattered around the map. These races follow exactly the same format as the previous main mission with parachute, boat and car phases. Follow the same tactics as before to win these races.

NO. 3

Drive down to the garage and follow the instructions to use the button on the car lift. Bring down Brucie's car then again to bring down your car for the race. Get in the car and line up behind the other two cars.

Follow as closely as possible behind the brothers' cars, but you don't need to get 1st place, so don't go mad. Slow down on corners and be particularly careful as the route narrows and winds around the shoreline. At the end of the race you need to line up carefully for three consecutive jumps. The first you need to hit slightly from right-to-left to land on the barge, then the second you need to straighten up on and not hit too fast so you jump to the next barge and the final jump. As long as you land on the third and final barge you complete the mission.

GOING DEEP

Head over to Bulgarin to start this mission. Drive to the parking lot then go down inside and park on the spot marked. Get out and place the bomb on the car as instructed. Crouch down behind the marked car and switch to the new gun Bulgarin has given you.

Wait for the first NOOSE truck to turn up and the NOOSE officers to spread out, then quickly take them all out with headshots wherever possible.

When the second NOOSE van turns up and the bomb explodes run to the far back corner of the parking lot and take cover behind the pillar as numerous mobs will spread out around the area leaving you little remaining cover. Take out all targets with headshots from your relative safety then go around to the NOOSE truck where there should be a body armor drop if you need it. Take any last remaining targets out on this side then walk up towards the parking lot entrance.

Another NOOSE van will appear, take out the two NOOSE officers that get out quickly before they can do any damage to Bulagarin or Timur then quickly move up to street level on the right where two cars will shortly appear. Take down the last four officers from these cars then drive Bulgarin and Timur back to the house to finish the mission.

DROPPING IN

Head back to Bulgarin to start this mission. Drive Timur to the helipad and follow him around the building to the chopper. Fly the chopper through the checkpoints then jump out when instructed. Release your parachute quickly then glide to land on the marker. Get a good automatic weapon out ready then head down through the building taking out the numerous mobs along the way. There's body armor down the first steps to the left if you need it.

Immediately through the first set of double doors are a couple of mobs, so be ready. Drop down the elevator shaft then quickly take out the mobs on this floor. Carry on working your way down to the Rampage reception room and take out the four guys there, then carefully edge your way right to target the several guys in the boardroom around the corner. Once these are all dead quickly run through the window. Don't hang around too long because mobs will keep coming endlessly through the reception room.

Open your parachute as soon as possible and ideally land on the truck below. If you miss you must either kill the mobs that come after you or get a car and lose them. Once the coast is clear you complete the mission.

IN THE CROSSHAIRS

This mission is much easier if you have a rocket launcher and body armor, so you may want to call Armando and stock up before you head over to Bulgarin to start this mission.

Get in a car then after your call to Armando drive to pick up the sniper rifle, then enter the building right next to it. Follow the instructions to take out the snipers, then once you find the roof door has been locked you must work your way across the rooftops to get back down to street level. First priority is to take down the chopper circling you. If you have a rocket launcher using this is the fastest and safest way to take it out, otherwise switch to a shotgun or good automatic weapon. Once the chopper is down take out as many targets as you can on the adjacent rooftops before jumping down. Switch back to your sniper rifle to take out the guys on the furthest rooftops throwing pipe bombs as these will kill you very fast if you're caught in their blast.

Once all mobs on the rooftops are dead drop down to the next marker and head towards the fire escape. Shoot the guys around the cars below then come down the fire escape to street level, get in a car and finally escape the area to finish the mission.

LADIES HALF PRICE

Drive Tony over to the boat on Pier 45, get in it and take it to the marker on Charge Island. After the cutscene swing the boat left and right continually until the guy hanging on the back lets go, then take the boat back to Pier 45.

FOR THE MAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING

Head down to Yusef to start this mission. Drive Yusef to the bridge over the railway tracks then wait for the train to arrive. Jump down when instructed then start walking along the top of the train towards the front carriage. Use the shotgun Yusef gave you to shoot down all helicopters and duck if a low bridge comes along. Once you get to the front carriage you complete the mission.

PARTY'S OVER

Head into the park to meet Rocco then over to Maisonette 9 to See Tony. Once the Russians start swarming into the club use your shotgun to take them down quickly. Whenever you get a chance reload your gun by quickly switching to another gun then back to the shotgun. This way you're more likely to reload in time for the next wave of russians.

Once all of the russians inside are dead make a quick detour to the office to pick up the health pack and body armor in there. Now crouch down and go through the main entrance doors and use the shotgun to take out the remaining mobs outside. Be careful not to be too close to any exploding cars.

DEPARTURE TIME

Drive Tony down to Firefly Island then walk over to the derelict Fun Park. Work your way around the park taking out the mobs and the heroin 'toys'. There's body armor by the first kiosk behind the van and a health pack on the wall at the far end, but don't rush forward for the health pack because there's a gunman hiding around the corner.

Now head back to the other side of the park and clear this side out. Once this side is clear go after Timur, taking out the numerous mobs along the way.

Once Timur is dead get on the bike outside the park and ride to the marker. Follow behind Yusef's chopper until you reach the airport, then ride around to the marker and race along the runway to catch Bulgarin's plane before it can take off. Press forward slightly to shift your weight forward on the bike to go faster. Once you reach the marker next to the plane you will jump onboard.

Once on the plane shoot the last few mobs then follow the instructions to execute Bulgarin. After the plane explodes you will parachute out, open your parachute and guide yourself down the considerable distance to the marker to finish this final main mission.

FRIEND ACTIVITIES

You need to call Armando OR Henrique and take them out on the following activities:

Hockey
Darts
Pool
Golf
Drinking
Eating
Strip Club

Completing all seven activities will give you 5% towards your 100% complete status. Winning a game of air hockey, darts, pool or golf also awards you another 1.43% each, so if you lose against your friend go back in to try again for the extra 1.43%.
